Banks and cash machines are found throughout the city and in the old town, but the easiest places to find them are in the city's main square Jemaa el-Fna, and in Gueliz, the new part of Marrakech.<\/p>\n

We have a lot of currency exchanges around the city but the best are normally found in the square Jemaa el-Fnaa (exchange Hotel Ali, bank popular near the pharmacy ).<\/p>\n

The exchange rates are normally higher in this place better than in the airport and hotels.<\/p>\n

Owing to the importance of the tourism industry in Marrakech, some Riad only accepts euros.[\/vc_column_text]

\nMany businesses operate with limited hours and staff, so try to book accommodation, transport and tours in advance. Call offices to ensure someone will be there. Most restaurants close during the day, pack lunches or reserve at tourist restaurants. Stores often close in the afternoon; bargaining is better before thirst is felt in the midday heat.
\nFrom 2017, Ramadan falls in the summer, so be prepared for long, hot days.

Tourists are exempt from fasting; it\u2019s hard enough at home under controlled conditions. To show support, avoid eating, drinking or smoking in public, and grant people privacy at prayer times. The record high is over (120\u00b0F; 322,15 \u00baK )(49\u00b0C), so if you travel to Marrakech during summer, be prepared to be hot.
