Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Rose valley – Dades Gorge

  • Your journey begins at 7:00 AM with a pickup from your Riad or hotel in Marrakech. We head towards the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260m), the highest in Morocco, offering stunning views of Berber villages and the Atlas Mountains, with scenic stops along the way.
  • A highlight of the journey awaits as we approach Aït Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s most famous and well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This stunning kasbah, dating back to the 11th century, has been featured in many Hollywood movies and TV series, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You will have time to explore the ancient kasbah on your own, wandering through its narrow alleyways and admiring the traditional earthen architecture.
  • Passing through Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa," we continue through the Oasis of Skoura, known for its lush palm groves and historic kasbahs. Next, we drive through the Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant rose fields and traditional beauty products.
  • As the sun begins to set, we arrive at the breathtaking Dades Gorge, a dramatic canyon carved by the Dades River. The valley is known for its unique rock formations, winding roads, and stunning landscapes that change colors with the shifting light. You will have time to admire the spectacular Monkey Fingers rock formations and explore the gorge before settling into a traditional guesthouse or a charming hotel for the night.
  • Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner while soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the Dades Valley. Rest well, as tomorrow, even more incredible adventures await in the heart of the Sahara Desert.

Day 2Dades Boumalne – Tinghir – Erg Chebbi

  • After enjoying a traditional Moroccan breakfast, begin your day with a refreshing walk through the stunning Dades Gorge, where towering rock formations and lush vegetation create breathtaking scenery.
  • We then continue towards Todgha Gorge, following the famous "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs." Along the way, we pass through the charming town of Tineghir, known for its verdant palm groves and historic Jewish quarter.
  • Upon arrival at Todgha Gorge, take a leisurely walk through the oasis and admire the dramatic canyon walls, which rise up to 300 meters high. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, continue your journey deeper into the Sahara Desert.

Day 3Merzouga - Ouarzazate -Marrakech

  • Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, where the golden sands glow in the morning light, creating an unforgettable view.
  • After enjoying a traditional Berber breakfast, mount your camel for the return trek to Merzouga, taking in the last glimpses of the endless desert landscape.
  • From Merzouga, begin the journey back to Marrakech, retracing the scenic route through the Draa Valley, Ouarzazate, and the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, stop at panoramic viewpoints to appreciate the diverse Moroccan landscapes.
  • Arrive in Marrakech around 8:30 PM, marking the end of an incredible 3-day desert adventure, filled with unforgettable moments, rich culture, and breathtaking scenery.The adventure continues as we pass through Rissani, an ancient trading post, and Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and date markets. As we approach Merzouga, the landscape transforms into golden dunes, signaling the entrance to the vast Erg Chebbi Desert.
  • At Merzouga, embark on an unforgettable camel trek, riding through the mesmerizing dunes while watching the sunset paint the desert in fiery hues. Upon reaching your Berber desert camp, settle into a traditional tent equipped with modern comforts.
  • The evening is filled with the rhythmic beats of Berber drums, lively songs, and the warm hospitality of the nomads. Enjoy a flavorful dinner under the stars, and if the sky is clear, gaze at the Milky Way, a truly magical sight in the heart of the Sahara.
